banshee_kid350
I have a 96 bansheee and it has k&n clamp ons and fmf fatties and when I rode it last summer at the dunes it would getting really hot. it would boil over after some hard riding but it is usually about 90 to 95 degrees and my pipes would glow red at night when I would ride it hard I believe we are about 4200 feet above sea level I have 330 mains in it now and im adding a new top end .030 wisecos and noss head and boyessen reeds with spacers what do you guys think I should run in the mains to help this problem?? or perhaps should I check to see if its a problem in the cooling system?? it ran strong before just really hot so im not sure what to do. any help would be appreciated thanks

I'd do that before I go messing with the jetting. You could get her all screwed up for no reason when you might have a cooling issue. 330 could be pretty darn close with the clamp ons, maybe even on the rich side for 4200 feet, so I'd go check the plugs first. Let us know what you come up with, or even post a pic like Cheezehead did in the "Plug Chop" post.
Banchetta
sredish is right on, sounds like the jetting is pretty close to me, but I'm not there and areas vary w/ jetting....Do a plug chop, but I'd check the cooling system first, make sure its full of antifreeze and check the water impeller....If the impeller is fine then feel the radiator to see if its getting hot, that'll insure that its circulating..If the cooling system checks out, then do a plug test and go from there.....
