New Banshee Needs Air...

Recommended Posts

I have a new 2004 shee and its about 2 weeks old and im ready to replace the stock setup already. My question is what kind of filter toomey 2 into 1 or K&N , etc. I ride mostly hills and flat grounds and some dusty areas, so should i remove the lid and buy an outerwear? Lets hear what you recommend for a better breathing system?

i have the toomey 2:1 and im happy with it. it does away with the air box and makes rejetting really easy and it really lets the shee berath but you will have to be carefull how deep of water you go through and you will have to rejett with this system.if you decide to go with the toomey 2:1 you will have to buy a waterbottle relocating bracket.

I've ran both & prefer the toomey 2:1 w/UNI filter. It filters just as good as the K&N clamp-ons & requires less maintinance. Plus you don't have to dodge water puddles soo much like before. I got tired of replacing the outerwears on the K&N's about every other ride...still using the same outerwear that came with my 2:1 2 or so years ago.

If you ditch the airbox you're gonna have a time with mud and dust. I had the Toomey and switched to the stock airbox. For some odd reason I actually had to go up a jet size for the airbox, I guess it flows better?? If you keep the airbox, get the ProFlow adapter plate. You can always take the lid off and that'll get you another jet size.
