Have I Missed Anything?

ok i thot id start a new post in the mx section so you mx gurus could give me your opinions. iv picked out all the stuff for my new 450 but i want to no if iv missed anything, heres all the gear:

 

laegers +2 a amrms including ball joints and tie rods

i dont no what wheels to go for. i would like 1 set for the front but 2 sets for the back. a set of small ones for turf tamers and a set of big ones for the maxxis razors, what sizes should i go for. all the wheels are douglas alloy, full range of

yeah i no, i cant wait to get it, even tho i wont have it for a good few months, atvworld.com want to no now what i want on it, so im just checking, what do you think about wheels tho, they are sized 8x8,9x8,10x5 and 10x8, as i said i would like 1 set fro the front and 2 for thye back (1 set for turf tamers and 2nd set for razors)?????

Don't waste your money on A-arm skid plates..A belly pan is all you'll need for MX.

You don't need the proflow intake kit if your getting an aluminum airbox. yeah you can dump the hand guards too.

Most around here run the 8in rear wheels beadlocks or race.I have a set of each the race wheels are lighter than the locks but are as strong as for the front same locks or race 10x5 or 10x6 .The locks I have are Douglas and the race are itp I like them both. :dance:It really depends on what size tire you gona run 18's or 20's.With the 18's I would run a 8in wheel and with the 20's a 9in.

Kenda Klaws on Douglas Beadlocks, atvworld has them considering duncan racing ownes that company. How much are they talking price wise out the door.

 

And scrape all the laeger stuff and buy roll design a arms and steering stem, there stronger. I've bent 2 laeger stems. And if ya got the cash go for long travel front and rear. You'll never bottom out if you can ride it.

price is around 15k in british puonds, i think thats about 25k usd ready to race. im paying cash and im wanting to pick it up myself, im a bit weiry of other people handling my expensive goods. :unsure:

you should just buy the track with all that $$....than you could race yourself. Seems like you have neough $$ to buy a trophy to :D

 

all the above comments are right...in all honesty- your probably overdoing it for your skill level. You wont really appreciate those mods if you do them all at once. Know what its like to do well with minimal mods and getting a great setup will be tht much more fulfilling.

 

For the $$ you are spending you should just look on e-bay and buy someone elses bike. you could get all the same stuff for 10k and save 15--- just have it shipped across the pond. my .02 :headbang::dance:
