screamingtwin Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 The gytr a-arm skid plates won't fit your extended a-arms. The best tires to get are kenda klaws all around. 18/10.5/8(back) 20/6/10(front) Quote
MULLET~BOY Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 The best tires to get are kenda klaws all around all around more like the best tires period lol tires hook up like crazy Quote
tithead Posted April 17, 2004 Author Report Posted April 17, 2004 ok about tyres BUT I WANT TO NO ABOUT WHEELS! Quote
MotulMonsta Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 Don't waste your money on A-arm skid plates..A belly pan is all you'll need for MX. You don't need the proflow intake kit if your getting an aluminum airbox. yeah you can dump the hand guards too. Quote
SCOTT PRESSLEY Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 (edited) Most around here run the 8in rear wheels beadlocks or race.I have a set of each the race wheels are lighter than the locks but are as strong as for the front same locks or race 10x5 or 10x6 .The locks I have are Douglas and the race are itp I like them both. :dance:It really depends on what size tire you gona run 18's or 20's.With the 18's I would run a 8in wheel and with the 20's a 9in. tats4life Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 (edited) Kenda Klaws on Douglas Beadlocks, atvworld has them considering duncan racing ownes that company. How much are they talking price wise out the door. And scrape all the laeger stuff and buy roll design a arms and steering stem, there stronger. I've bent 2 laeger stems. And if ya got the cash go for long travel front and rear. You'll never bottom out if you can ride it. Edited April 17, 2004 by tats4life Quote
tithead Posted April 17, 2004 Author Report Posted April 17, 2004 price is around 15k in british puonds, i think thats about 25k usd ready to race. im paying cash and im wanting to pick it up myself, im a bit weiry of other people handling my expensive goods. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted April 17, 2004 Report Posted April 17, 2004 (edited) dude, u didnt say a kill switch , shit seems like u got enough cash, why dont u get the carbonfiber beadlocks with the new razer 2's 18's int the rear 20's in the front Edited April 17, 2004 by frocashmoney24 Quote
MotulMonsta Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 Carbon fiber wheels from Hipertec are the shiznit. Cheaper then both douglas and ITP race wheels. Quote
Torn66 Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 you should just buy the track with all that $$....than you could race yourself. Seems like you have neough $$ to buy a trophy to all the above comments are right...in all honesty- your probably overdoing it for your skill level. You wont really appreciate those mods if you do them all at once. Know what its like to do well with minimal mods and getting a great setup will be tht much more fulfilling. For the $$ you are spending you should just look on e-bay and buy someone elses bike. you could get all the same stuff for 10k and save 15--- just have it shipped across the pond. my .02 Quote
tithead Posted April 20, 2004 Author Report Posted April 20, 2004 i already have my own track! i see what your saying and it is worth thinking about seriously. thanks for the info Quote
