hill_19
its done this a couple times in the past, when my g/f's bro was riding it, he would stall it out while riding and then try to kick it over again and the kick start was locked, and then again the other day i was kickin it to start it up after riding it for about 15 mintues, kicked about 3 times then locked, i had to do some major finaggleing with the wheels and stuff to get it unlocked last time, but what could be the cause of this? never been inside the case yet, so dont really have any ideas.. any help would be great. erbilabuc
if it was still in gear then it sounds like ur clutch, will it start right away in neutral?
hill_19
its locked in all gears right now, i can shift thru the gears and even hit nuetral, but the kick wont even move in any gear.
sredish
if you were to kick it really hard, would the rear wheels try to spin? i'd get that shit figured out before you ride it much more.
Gargamel
sorry off topic a little. Mine wont kick in gear cold without trying to roll the rear tires. But will kick in gear warm. Is that normal or is there a clutch prob. with mine?
frocashmoney24
that does sound like ur clutch garagmel, pop off ur clutch side cover hill19, theres a gear all the way to ght right, its ur kickstarter gear, check to see if the splines are broke, or if its jammed against something , or it doesent line up with the other gear, thats mostley what causes these sort of problems
dnhyoung
I've noticed that mine does the same thing, and what was explained to me is that the oil in the clutch kind of tacks that clutches plates together when cold, but when warm everything is allowed to move like it is supposed too. I just replaced my clutch pack recently and made sure everything was adjusted correctly, and it still did it. Oh, I'm running Bel-Ray 85wt in the tranny.... jeffro189
mine did something similar. the idler gear, between the kick starter and the clutch gear, wore out the bushing, and it had enough play, that it would cock alittle, and bind everthing up. look into that also. jeffro189
Oh, I'm running Bel-Ray 85wt in the tranny.... that is way too thick of and oil to run in the trans, i would go down to a SAE 30 weight. i use the best, Valvoline
powerman350
My kickstarter jammed up and it happened to be the bottom half of my left piston was down in the crank. Probably not the case for you though, hopefully!
