FoxBansheeRacing Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 I need to order new jets for my 35mm pwk but I'm not sure what to get. Right now I have a 178 main in there, and that seems to be the best right around 40-50 degrees. Even in 50 degree weather the low end seemed a bit sluggish but I cleaned it up a little bit with the air/fuel screw. I got in there and it has a 60 pilot, which seems way to big to me. I am under 500ft above sea level and my mods are in the sig. I am looking to get jets to cover me for this summer(70-90 average). What mains and pilots would you suggest buying?? Quote
Banchetta Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 42,48,50,55 pilots, 168,170,172,175 mains....It might cost about $50 bucks, but you'll have every jet you'll need or a good range of them....I run a 158 main, 42 pilots w/ my stroker motor...so as you can see, different mods and setups can vary...If you change something, you'll need to rejet and it'll be nice to have that flexibility... FoxBansheeRacing Posted April 15, 2004 Author Report Posted April 15, 2004 Thanks banchetta. I was just looking on dennis kirk's website and they sell a 5 pack of main jets for $20 but the closest set they have is 170-180, but I could always just buy the 168 seperate. Since everyone that works there "24/7" are chicks that dont know shit about shit, I have to wait and call tech support tomorrow just to find out what kind of carb those packs are for. I'm going to call carbparts.com too and see how their prices compare. Anything else I should do or any other sites I should check? Quote
Banchetta Posted April 16, 2004 Report Posted April 16, 2004 magicracing.com.....I think the pilots are $4/ea., but I think the mains are like $2, but I could be wrong....You can shop online 24/7. Thats the best thing I like about them.... Quote
FoxBansheeRacing Posted April 16, 2004 Author Report Posted April 16, 2004 Shit, I ordered from dennis kirk before I read that. I ended up getting 4 mains and 6 pilots I think. It came to $50 and I payed the $25 for overnight shipping so I would have them by this weekend. Quote
