nate1999mxz600 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 need to know a good starting point to start at. T 5s,single kn w/outerware with no lid. stock carbs and jets. i figured 320s? Quote
nater006 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 That's a good starting point but will probably be rich. Toomey recommends a #280 at sea level altitude. But, thats with holes drilled in the airbox and not minus the whole lid. You'll need to adjust accordingly for your altitude, temps, etc. Quote

That'll be pretty close, depending on how rich your shee runs. Mine, for example, likes it rich and I'm usually 3 or 4 sizes richer than what is "normal". I imagine you'll end up around 310 to 300 on the mains, 27.5 pilot should work with the needle in the 3rd or 4th clip. Quote

When I had an airbox and no lid, similar to their holes in the box, I was running 310 mains. I wouldn't listen to their instructions. Quote

I got mine used and have never dealt with them directly but it wouldn't be the first time a manufactorer doesn't know what they're saying... Quote
