The fuel money you save ain't gonna be worth freezing your balls off on a cold morning and the cost of the bike.  You would have to ride it EVERY day for 5 years at least to make it just break even on the investment.  I've worked the numbers....  banghead   Although, you may drive alot farther than I do, which could make it slightly more worthwhile...  I drive about 800 miles a week.

Even riding around on my 900RR saves me a bit every week! Otherwise I have to drive my 4WD S10 everywhere. The 4.3L is not bad but still with the MPG I get in the city... the bike is nice. In the summer, the truck sits and sits until the Banshee or kayak want to go somewhere or its raining. Its hard to justify the cost if you're just purchasing a bike for the mileage though.

Sweet!

No white water around here unfortunately so for now I'm doing the blackwater deal on lakes around here, Lake Michigan, and Lake Huron (soon).

Perception Avatar 15.5' w/ the blue/white colors.

Even though I'm not the "lighter paddler" (210 now, 200 soon..hehe) it fits my frame perfectly and is just a great overall boat. Gotta love the skeg.. down with rudders! ;)

ur nutz doing 66 on that thing Tats, Ive got a blata 2.5 with a milled head and filter running race gas, I am going to get a china bike for cheap (my buddy is picking up 10 of em for everyone in my neighborhood and go a little more insane with that one since it's so cheap. I would like to get a really nice one down the road when I am done bashing the hell outta them. But damn 66 would really put a big starfish on the seat being that low to the ground...you have a brass set my friend

I sold my second F3 to get the banshee - too many SUV's with cell phone users driving em out there! I kayak too. Used to do surf and whitewater in a perception whiplash (hey it was the shit at the time). Now me and my bro paddle a Current Designs Crosswind. That's 22ft of tandem! We're in training right now for a Catalina crossing - 28 miles one way from here to Cat. Not as exciting as the WW boat but hey, its fun in its own way. Any Kiteboarders in here?

Otis, that is a kickass avatar! Growing up on a fruit farm gives me a little appreciation for getting the front (or rear) tires off the ground on a piece of heavy (in whatever context you want to take the word "heavy") machinery.

Our Shockwave cherry tree shaker (OMC) was great for that. Had a slant-6 in the back of it and if you gave it even slightly too much brake, the shaker boom in front was so heavy that the rear tires would be up and off the ground (kiss your steering capability goodbye). Or, backing away from a tree and having to back up a hill...hehe. Needed bloody skid plates for under the front of that boom practically...
