02Shee
im gettin bored of my thumb throttle and im also gettin wrist pains. so im lookin into twist throttles. ummm main question is how do you guys like them? are they hard to get used to? and also are they hard to jump with or ride trails with? thank you in advance.o yea also how are they to install? thank you Vinny
nater006
I like mine. Much easier for me for riding for long amounts of time than it is to use the thumb setup. I use it everywhere and have never been inconvenienced or had rideability compromised by having it. If you convert, you'll need an idle kit. Otherwise the quad won't idle with the twist throttle installed. Even that isn't too bad to install though. banshee tuner
I run the motion pro twist and wish I would have done it when I bought the bike. My arm used to get so sore that riding was not fun after riding very long. It takes about 30 minutes and takes a lot of clutter off the bike. stu
if you have aftermarket carbs, i got pwk35's, and a twist throttle do you still need the idle kit or is it only for stock carbs?? stu

LegendSS28
Go with the twist, if dirtbike riders can handle it, I think you all can
stu
yeah but on dirtbikes you dont need to hang onto the bars in the same way as on a quad. id say try out the twist and make sure you give it enough time to get used to it as it is very different!! but i prefer it now to the thumb unit stu
jeffro189
i had a problem with my 35mm carbs and a twist throttle, i had to have a custom cable made by motion pro. just tell them the carbs, and the twist set up you have and the will make it. but that is only if you have that problem. super88_banshee
i was thinkin of going the same route too. i have stock carbs but no TORS. it has the idle screws in the side but you don't need the kit if you have a drill and a tap. my dad did that on mine and it works great. plus it saved about $24 or so
