Holyman
Went for a ride today and the Blaster locked up. What I don't get is the Blaster has been ridden hard all winter in subzero weather and NOW it locks up on a 40* day. Anyways... any tips on where ot get a crank and suggestions on a top end would be appreciated. It's bored .040 right now as I recall. roosthrower
I would look for a crank on ebay. You could probably find one on there for sixty bucks. As far as the piston goes, I would give vitos a call or check ebay for one as well. I see piston kits sell on ebay for pretty cheap.

99LRDblaster
im not a big fan of vitos personally. i just trust wiseco pro-lite becaus ethey are forged and been proven in blasters. they may deal better with banshees i dunno. anyways i had marc at hollywooddirtproductions port my cylinder but he does many other services and he has great prices and will work with you every step of the way. i got my top end with cylinder head and carb back and i was amazed at how flawless his engine work was on my blaster. www.hollywooddirtproductions.com Edited April 12, 2004 by 99LRDblaster
SDD
Holyman if you want to put in a stroker crank let me know. I know of a guy selling a +2 and +4mm stroker cranks that are done up by crankworks. The +2 requires no case mods. I believe he wants 200 plus shipping. Holyman
Thanks for the tip SDD. I'll be pulling this thing apart in the coming days a find out the real story. On a side point... every time I see your name I think it says STD yuh know like sexually transmitted disease. I don't know why.
SDD
I shortened my usual user name to the first letters since it was a bit much to type everytime I want to log into a site. That and the fact a lot of people abbreviated it anyway. I should ammend my post above... it should say there is no case trenching involved with a +2 stroker. You will have to relieve the cases a little where the rod clears the case on its way to and from TDC. Edited April 12, 2004 by SDD

Ducman
I just put the Vito's 240 kit into my wifes blaster along with a new crank from Vito's. The crank and piston kits were the best deals I found for new stuff. My wifes blaster had the oil injection go out so it toasted the bottom end and it was at .050 on the bore already too. The 240 kit makes a decent bit more power since the ports in the sleeve are quite a bit bigger and when the cylinder ports are matched with the sleeve its like getting a heavy port job. It has a nice "big bore" sound now, but I think that it isn't a lot better than just getting a really nice port job on a standard overbore. I have heard that the storker crank makes the big bore kit work a lot better but then you probably need some bigger carbs too. The lil' sucker will pull 6th with me on it now (250lb) where it wouldn't hardly do it before.
Holyman
How much was that kit? My kid just turned 16 and could probably handle a banshee. OR>>> I could just drop one of my RZ engines into it. I'd probably need a +12 swingarm then
dcmoose
im not a big fan of vitos personally. i just trust wiseco pro-lite becaus ethey are forged and been proven in blasters. From what i understand, vito's piston are made by wiesco, to vito's specs. Not positive though, but i am pretty sure of it. I think alot of the companys that produce big bore kits like that have wiesco make the pistons.
