Cotton eyed Joe Posted April 9, 2004 Report Share Posted April 9, 2004 When I used to do a lot of work for the Detroil Diesel Rework West division out here (in Tooele), I got to see some HUGE engines...nothing this big though....the engine I saw had an oil pan four times the size of a bathtub, and one had a rod go through it when the bearing seized on the journal. This oil pan was made out of at least 3/4" steel. Hole I could put my head through right in the side of it. I saw an 8 cyl engine there that I bet had a 12" bores at least!
