BenBB
Duning or trail riding I usually get about 1.5 hours out of a tank. Last desert race was a 23-mile loop and I burned almost a full tank (didn't hit reserve, mebbe 3/4 of a tank). That's with 350-370 mains. I agree with lincster, depending on your elevation and premix ratio 280 mains sounds lean with K&N's...but bigger mains are gonna make your mileage even worse (of course if it's lean now you risk a meltdown)... Unless your floats are set way too high and fuel is pissing out the overflows, that's pretty much the nature of the beast; suck gas and go fast
KRMit
Yeah, mine burns a LOT of fuel too. I rode with someone that has a 450r last time. I ran through two tanks of fuel and he was still working on his one. One person said you get a little better gas mileage with the Trinity CV. I'm really hoping this is true. Ducman
I can easily go a constant 2 Hrs in the dunes with a lot of hill climbing and playing around (about 1/2 n 1/2) I doubt if I tried my hardest that I could burn a tank in under 1 hr. On the fire trails/logging roads at about 40 mph average speed I usea about 1.5 gal in 1 hr. the last time I rode.
boonman
I get about 3 hours of solid riding. Maybe more depending on terrain..... Dunes eat up fuel. Your WOT all the damn time!!! Especially up hills and shit. I have an IMS though.....
theeechozen1
My needle valves are bad and I had been leaking feul pretty steadily the last couple rides I went on, I can still get 2 hours of hard riding out of a tank.
