smokin350 Posted April 8, 2004 Report Share Posted April 8, 2004 ok here's the deal i have 404bigbore, mild port, coolhead 22bigbore domes run c14 vp race fuel, t5 exhuast, k&n with adapt, rate now i'm at 390 mains and i'm adding v-force reeds assembly tommorow and i'm wondering how much should i go up on my main 1-3 up do u think thats could i know i'm gonna have to test and tune but u guys think? sredish Posted April 9, 2004 Report Share Posted April 9, 2004 they're all right about Vforce's recommendations. However, I would make sure to check the plugs afterwards. Even if it's running good, you may be able to squeeze another main jet size afterwards, heck maybe two. Remember, fuel makes you go. If you put on the reeds and are able to squeeze another main jet size, then you should technically have a little more power. The added power is definitely worth the time it takes to check. Take pipes for instance, pipes help on power a lot, but some of that is due to the increase in jet sizes. Later. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BenBB Posted April 9, 2004 Report Share Posted April 9, 2004 I agree with everyone else, start with what you've got (if you're just adding the Deltas) and see how it runs; if your mains are perfect now I would think the only thing you might need to change is the needle clip position, but I would double check the mains just in case and go from there.
