Schizo Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 I keep getting oil coming out from the silencers, not just alittle bit either but a fair amount. I am running castrol tts @ 40:1. It seems like the midrange might be a bit rich because of the dead spot before the powerband. I'm sure the mains are dialed in because i've tried everything from 180's down to 172's and it likes 175's the best but if im not on the pipe all the time then its kinda hard to get back on the pipe because of the deadspot. I've tried moving the needle down and ive tried moving it up but it seems to like the 3rd notch. Is it possible that the pilots are too big? Pilots are 48's at 2 turns out. I believe something is rich causing the oil coming out from silencers and the flatspot in the low-mid rpm range but i donno if its the pilot or the 2 into 1 air filter set-up is not letting in enough air to feed the cpi pipes.......any comments will help. Banchetta Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 I went from 45 pilots to 42's and noticed a huge difference in response, you might want to try a smaller pilot..... Quote
