I would rather have a little more oil than I need, that take a chance on the push rod and balls not having any oil on them. Granted, you don't want to dump much more than that in there, but I think in this situation a little more would do less damage, than not enough. I just realized that I grabbed the wrong stuff when I picked up my shee the other day.. I grabbed my brake fluid and not my oil =( I will pick some oil up later today, any suggestions on oil type? I think before I used just a 2 stroke synthetic or something like that.. Got it at a gas station.
