99screaminshee
Nextel i305. resistant to rain, snow, salt, hot/cold, and shock. I used to have a i700 and that thing was tough as hell. I've thrown it against concrete, stomped on it and even ran it over. could'nt kill it. hahahhahahaa thats always good for it i used to give my nokia a god toss when it didnt work till 1 day it flew in about 30 pieces my buddy ran his nextel over with a big truck and it never left a mark on it

Brian G
i700, the thing is a tank, but the phone is 3 years old and I am still on the original battery and it gets siginal just about anywhere, I would say that it is the best damn cell phone I have ever seen. only drawback is its size, but I really dont care, it is durable and it has awesone signal!! DUNEDEMON
I'm a NEXTEl fan too, been with them for almost 4 years now with no complaints. I also happen to like Motorola phones, used to have the "I1000+" it was a great phone full of good useful features. I now have the "I90C" it is much smaller than the I100+ but lacks some of the "quick" functions the other phone had and grew to use / like, but all in all I still like the smaller I90C. I don't think you can beat a Motorola phone.
dogboystoy
Verizon is the way to go. Their service is pretty good, I had Sprint PCS and I cound never get a signal anywhere. BUT, dont get Verizon's LG series phones (like the camera phone), The menu sucks, trying to find a number can be a bitch. So I would go with verizon but not the LG series phones. The rings are fine, the loudness of the rings are cool, but often I am trying to turn the speaker volume down because it is like someone is shouting in my ear, but the volume is at the quietest setting.oh yea, on my sprint pcs phone...It was a N200, anyway, a buddy of mine rubbed my phone on his balls, so I dumped his beer on the phone to sterilize it, and the fkn thing never skipped a beat, kept right on working. Ive got some FKD up friends
fixitrod
As everyone knows different cell vendors work better in certain areas. Boonman is sticking with verizon. Boonman, all I can say is it seems you want a phone that works. Not all the shiny horse shit they have out there. Compare battery talk time... stand by time is a stupid number, fit on your ear and ringer VOLUME. I was so worried about ringer volume when I bought mine I overlooked the battery talk time. Flip phones are fancy and a little smaller but for the most part have smaller batteries. They also have a lot of connections where the phones flip open. If you get a flip phone, buy the insurance that verizon offers for a few bucks a month. If you buy your contract at radio shack you can get their insurance instead. They will give you a new battery every six months if you say it doesn't charge right. They also let you keep the old one. The contract will pay for itself that way. Standard non flip phones are usually a little bigger and harder to just stick in your pocket. But, the usually have better batteries, are louder and fit on your ear better. Some phones have the voice activated directory built into the phone. If you have one with the feature built in make sure you aren't paying for the service on the bill. Companies like to add that to the bill and make you think you have to pay it. You should only be paying it if your phone doesn't support that feature and your using through your service provider. I do want to add that LG does make a great phone. To each there own.
Otis
I had a Motorola I 35 S. Kinda limited on it's features, but still a good phone. Good reception, clear, and durable. We got them because they have the buily in walkie-talkie. I have a Samsung SPH-A620 now. Biggest pile of dog [censored] for a phone, i've ever had. Use it for more then 2 minutes and it's like holding a flaming piece of metal to your ear. plus i dont know how many times i've heard someone say to me.."WHAT?????" cause they couldnt hear anything i said. <the "mic" on the phone doesnt pick up sound for crap... Hockey390
i have a nextel 730i, its pretty nice.. Loudest speaker for the ringer(ringtones) you will ever hear. nextel is awesome for the 2-way, but other companies are coming out with it, so I wouldnt buy just on that reason. They have some nice camera phones that I wish I had, you can put a special ringer on each persons name, and the same with a picture if you take it. rzcolobanshee
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=64355 Why don't you just get another StarTac off ebay booner? All the phones out today fuckin suck ass compared to the good ol startac. I've got an LG VX4400 I think and it's fairly decent. Only phone I have liked since the startac. I still have my startac if you want it, needs an antenna though
BenBB
For work I've got a Motorola 120t, Plateau is the carrier. Pretty decent phone, doesn't like water. Has withstood abuse pretty well for a cheap phone, my only complaint is having to answer the damn thing (free minutes cell to cell so there's always some dumbass co-worker or boss calling). Hafta lock the keys or it will do some funky stuff on it's own. For home I've got an Audiovox, not sure the model but has a color screen, we use Cellular One. Had a Motorola 120c before that, same as above, not bad for a cheap phone. The Audiovox has held up so far, LOUD ringer/ringtones, good standby time, good in-use battery time, survived a few drops on concrete, good mic/speaker (a little too good at times; I've gotten some looks from others as my wife was bitchin' me out for something). Cellular One had no reception in Dumont but everywhere else in Vegas, AZ & NM I had no probs. Still waiting for the Samsung "Matrix" phone... boonman
now this is what i'm talkin' about!!! I would get one off of Ebay, but I have two of them already, and I am sick of having to carry around extra antenna's with me everywhere i go. It is such shit. This last time, the phone is super glued together, has been to the bottom of lake erie, and still ticks. But, the antenna is brroke yet again. I figure there has to be something out there. I am thinking along the lines of a samsung A530S or an LG 4500 or 4400. We'll see. I am leaving in a few minutes to take care of this horse crap. I have so many messages now from missed calls it is sick..... People need to like lose my # or something..... lmmfao!! I'll see in a little bit. here we go again!! And for the nextel thing, they are HORRIBLE around here. Verizon has the absolute best service I have ever seen. As soon as you get off the beaten path with Cingular, you're roaming. And same thing with Sprint..... Piss on them.... I've had them all.... Verizon is king around here....
blk02banshee
verizon is really good overall, but my girlfriend has it, and gets absolutely no signal at my house. She has to stand outside in one spot for her phone to even work.
Wassup350
Cingular on a Nokia phone. Lol my phone takes quite a beating being in my pocket all the time. Many times has it fallen out while working on my car or banshee or something and got all scraped up. If you looked at it you'd think it was like 10 years old.
