boonman
Hey folks. Slight dilemma. My Startac finally shit the bed. I guess it couldn't take all the abuse I gave it... What service provider do you have, and what model phone do you currently use. I am in the market for a new phone. I got a Motorola V60 and it shit the bed the second day I had it. It is going back today and i will be going for a different model. SO, what you got and how do you like it....
fixitrod
I use verizon. It's the best in our area. I've had nextel, sprint, centinnial, and verizon. I have the a motorola t720c and don't care for it. The battery life is the worst. My wife has a samsung and the ringer is so quit you can't hear it at a restaurant with it sitting on the table. They make all these "pretty" phones but they aren't as functional as that old star-tac you had. To bad it went out.

boonman
they aren't as functional as that old star-tac you had. To bad it went out. Tell me about it. I am pissed I can't get another one. They offer a refurbished startac i think, but I can get a free phone. New every two is the promotiion with Verizon, and I have been with them for 4 years. SO, I guess it's about time.... I LOVED my startac. But, there has got to be something out there that is as good. Maybe I'm wrong? Also, I'm more looking for phone model here. I threw the service provider question in there because different providers have different phones. I have verizon service.

Cotton eyed Joe
I use verizon. It's the best in our area. I've had nextel, sprint, centinnial, and verizon. They make all these "pretty" phones but they aren't as functional as that old star-tac you had. To bad it went out. I had AT&T until I used Fixitrod's phone at Dumont. Mine had one or 2 bars of service, and as soon as I would dial, it would just beep at me. I used his, first call went through. No problems. Then on the way home, I tried to call my wife, I passed a cell tower and thought WOW THIS IS GONNA BE PERFECT, well, I went over a little crest in the road, NO SERVICE!!!! I didn't have enough reception until Vegas to make a damned call. When I picked up my new Verizon phone last week, I check the guys map he has. Dumont has a few blank spots, and there are a few places in Idaho, and thats about it. I'm going to see if I get service at Sand Mountain. Some phones do, and some don't, but none of mine ever have. THANKS FIXITROD!!!!!!!

blk02banshee
Nextel i305. resistant to rain, snow, salt, hot/cold, and shock. I used to have a i700 and that thing was tough as hell. I've thrown it against concrete, stomped on it and even ran it over. could'nt kill it.
