THOR1
alright anyone have any cool tricks to getting a damn nut off the wheel! Man today hasnt been a good day. I go to take off my wheels and round the hell out of one of the nuts! I was using an extension and didnt have the socket completely on the nut! I know theres your first mistake! Anyway does anybody have a solution? Thanks
DUNEDEMON
Tightly clamp a pair of "vise grips" on the nut, then use a pair of"channel locks" to turn the vise grips thus loosening the nut. Or a long chisel with a hammer if you can get acess to the nut, tap the chisel until it bites into the nut, then give it a good smack or two (in the counter-clock-wise direction) until the nut becomes loose. Good luck.
wansomordis
I'd get a six point socket not a 12 which you probably used about 1/2 inch drive? And go one size smaller that what you used 13 ?? And beat that onto the nut and will come off just fine.. might help beating on it with bike on its side that way you have more leverage.. I think it would be a little hard to get vice grips on the back wheel lug nuts..Just my .
