mcaf29
You don't need to go and spend all that money. I know B370 can back me up here cause we just worked on my frame. Just tear it down to the frame and see how its bent, take a 3 lb or bigger hammer and hit it back so its nice and striaght. The best way to tell is get a straight grab bar and when it fits perfect that's when its straight. You can weld up the crack in two seconds. A welded point is actually stronger than any other point because the heat from the weld also heat treats the metal at that point (other factors too). I'm sure you can find a local welder to throw a bead on it for like $20 as long as you straighten it before hand. Send some pics of the bent part (close up without plastics), so we can help assess the damage.

I just wanted to make removable ssubframe so I can say"hey I have a removable sub frame"
checkster
hmmmmmm..........maybe i need to make a jig! I have checked out the factory subframe and its nothing special. Looks pretty easy to replicate. Actually you dont need near as many bends or brackets for it to work properly. check
Patriot Racing
hard to describe typing it---- but use rod ends (heim joints) to build the 4 longer segments. Then weld on U shaped brackets to throw a bolt thru on the frame. Then build you rear plate for the seat latch and 4 more brackets for other end of the segements to attach to. Silencer bracket and youve got a removable sub frame. The geometry is there to make it stiff, but the adjustablility of the rod ends makes it all fit nice.... I know exactly what you mean. was thinking the same thing. only problem with a "kit" is you still have to worry about the buyer welding the tabs on the main frame.......I have seen welds from guys with home depot welders......scary shit!
