Big Blue
Why did he have that much cash in his wallet any way? that is what debit cards and checkbooks are for!!!!!
Cotton eyed Joe
Wait a second..... How old is this kid?? If he's old enough to have an apartment, then he's old enough to be responsible and keep his phat roll in the bank. I don't carry more than I want to lose in my wallet. Simple rule of life. Wait another second..... I know you have to help people from time to time, but why is it your problem if he can't pay his rent??? I understand the scenario, but c'mon......Make it a loan to the kid (have him sign an agreement saying its a loan) and have him pay you back. I don't know about CA, but $800 is a shit load of cash here.

It's rotten, I know, and make him pay me back? He is supposed to be paying me $100 a month for the new Blaster I bought him and I never see that!!! Now I'm the idiot, you see. At first I thought he was alright, but so much has gone on with this ass since then. Now i can hardly stand the sight of him, let alone go quading with him. Now this, I can't believe i am giving in this time, but i still have to live with her. One more time and

I could just scream And that Blaster i bought him!! It's blown up and all torn apart. It looks like it's 10 years old and it's an '02. Never again!! SANDSTAR
Here's what you do.......you go to that little shits apartment and tell him you are not gonna be pimped out by him any more. Then repo that blaster and sell it. Tell your old lady to never ask you for money unless it is for a medical purpose (breast implants). If she gives you shit, start thinking real seriously about how her and her son are treating you and your wallet. 22 years old and no money? If you let this go he will be 32 years old with no money. One last piece of advice- Never never NEVER tell anyone you are in the process of saving some money for Banshee parts. People that don't ride tend to see that as a waste of money. Get your parts and be happy.

One more time and I understand how you have to hear about it from the wife if you don't go through with it........Damn hard situation, but honestly, its more her place than it is yours to deal with him, well from my perspective it is. You are kind of like the innocent by stander, and I don't want to cause any shit or problems, or spark something....I'm just offering my opinion, and take it for what it is....But I wouldn't do it. If it caused problems...f*ck it. You work, and you reward yourself with your Banshee and other things I presume. You don't go to work to take care of some irresponsible kid. And to be down right honest with you, if you do take care of it this time, it will happen again. Its not teaching the kid responsiblity, its teaching him to be lazy and careless, and that there are no consequences for his actions. If he "lost" his wallet....guess what?? Its still his problem. He can't blame that on anyone but himself. Even if it was stolen. I guarantee you that if I called up the bank and told them that I couldn't pay my $3,000 loan payment this month on my building because I lost the money they would laugh, hang up the phone, and put my building up for auction. I know you know all this already, but it just pisses me off to hear about someone being taken advantage of. Its not fair, but people will do it, so its your job to stop it before it starts. lol...Sometimes my wife thinks I'm an asshole because if she goes and spends $400 on clothes, that I want the same amount in cash. Oh well. Yeah, $400 isn't the end of the world, but you do it 3 times per year, thats $1200 and I want my god damn Passion Stroker engine. Best of luck........... Shoot Joe, i knew that was the right answer before i even posted this thing. I can't believe people even have the nerve to confront other people with this kind of bullshit. If you say no for all the right reasons then all of the sudden you are the heartless asshole and the punk is an innocent victom. You know what, right now i am feeling so used that if it weren't for my daughters that my wife helps me take care of, they are not hers, I would bolt right now. But I can't do that. The fucked up thing is that i really really want to right now. I want to take all my shit and my daughters and bolt. If i feel that badly then I think i had better carry out your advice or this just aint gonna work.

I know it happens but if it is all the money you have to your name you just don't loose it like that, do you?
Cotton eyed Joe
One other piece of advice is take your time making a decision. If its not life or death, you are allowed to take your time thinking, weighing options etc. Make sure you take a step in the direction YOU want to go in. Whether its staying with your wife, but putting your foot down, or what ever...Be strong in your desicions, and be prepared for the consequences of your actions. Everyone (couples, friends, co workers etc) goes through problems, some are workable, and others aren't. Either way if you solve this problem, or you drop everything and run, you'll have learned something. Thats whats important to you in your life. LEARN something from all of this and don't forget it. I've had to learn a lot of shit the hard way, the real hard way. To the point where I've kind of become an asshole at one point or another to some people. I have to, in order to keep them in their place, and not take over mine. I kind of admire Jesse James for something he said once in an interview......er...on TV I guess. He said "I'll do what I have to, to protect what's mine." I've tried to adopt that credo, but it means much more than fighting for what you have. It means if there is work to be done, do it. At my shop, if the floor needs to be cleaned do it. Repair a machine...DO IT!!! Bills that need to be paid..WORK OVER TIME...What I have depends on me taking care of it in every way possible. No one will do it for me.
