trail rider
Which do you prefer on a quad, twist or thumb throttle? I kinda like a twist throttle a little better cause I've been used to riding dirt bikes alot more than quads and I can control the throttle better over very rough ground. German Shepherd
Good Question. I am thinking of switching. I heard that you have to remove the factory cut off. I dont want to remove any safety devices. Does this device work, can I keep it with a twist? Thanks

Trick2stroke
I used to LOVE my thumb throttle and would even consider changing to a twist, but now that I have had my YZ for a while I kinda like the twist, just depends on what you like.... German Shepherd, From what I have heard the TORS is worthless, better to get rid of it....
l0wrider
i bought my shee used with a twist. I just got my thumb throttle because i dont trust myself with a twist. Especially if you are startin to pull a wheelie up going up a hill. The worst thing you wanna do is start to fall backwards because all you hand is gonna do is just pull it back. spoin39
I like to climb hills, a twist just doesn't work for me. I have a 2002 YZ250 and of course it is fine, but I prefer thumb on a quad.

trayfoe
I hate twist throttles, today I was on my brothers CR250 and came up on a little dip, I went to gas it just a little to pick the front wheel up over the dip and when I did my upper body went back and just gased the shit out of it and the bike was up in the air and I was in the dirt. Plus I dont ride bikes that much and dont fell at home on one like I do on my shee. Anybody on here ride bikes as much as they do quads? What the hell do you do when the bike pulls away and you need to hold on? It seems every time this happens I end up on the ground and the bike is upside down about 10 feet away... Fox73-Zz
After seeing a similar thread on here, I thought I would try a twist....I just about killed myself a few times jumping and hillclimbing and I decided it wasn't for it. It was cool as hell, but just not for me Anybody want a CR style twist with cable?
