ok read and printed the jetting FAQ tweeked the air screws and runs better than she ever has(in the short time I've had it) but two things

1. how much smoke out the pipes is normal- Mine is white smoke a bit till warm, then light amount at idle and reving standing still

2. I noticed a bit of oil something around the silencer openings (almost a drip) is this normal or a sign of something

haven't touched the mains or needle or pilot

can't do a wot run cause I run out of alley way at 3rd gear and if I touch road cops show up and bitch at me.

Other than that the shee feels great 1-3rd

Anything else I should do before I take it out on the trails for the first time?

You all got me freaked with the whole "lean blow up thing"

Took me 2 years to save for the shee :D and worth it :D:D:D:D

Thanx

add:

run 32:1 yamalube with 92 oct. One other thing too, rode it for about 15min. up down alley and pipes never got to hot to touch(hot but not burn ya hot) it's about 46ish degrees here

2-strokes smoke until they get cleaned out. I run 32-1 in my LT500 and it rarely smokes. I also run 32-1 in my banshee, no smoke once it is warm & has been cleaned out. I use maxima 927 castor in the LT and was running klotz r50 in the shee.

Its a 2-stroke!! its supposed to smoke some when warm and a lot when cold....I wouldn't suggest running leaner then 40:1 oil mixture....What do you call a lot of smoke??
