dirtbike killer Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 I also need some help with suggestions... have the 33mm PWK 2 into carb kit with trinty pipes w/ K&N and im searching for some numbers to try for the pilot and main. right now im at a 45 pilot and a 175 main and it really needs some help on the bottom. Mid gurgles and isnt very good. The top is very good. Help Me! Make sure your idle screw ( not air mix) is at less one full turn out. If it wont idle like that, adjust it with your cable. If you have the idle screw less than a full turn out you will have problems down low. Bike should be pretty close with what you have in there. Pilot seems small, I might try something a little bigger and play with the air mix screw. Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Did you diconect the little black box under the left fender? If you did not you will have to always have your finger on the throttle in order to complete the curcit. Quote
ngelati Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 black box under the left fender....??? What is it? What does it do? Quote
brocky2727 Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 yea i disconnected the black box i have my throttle cable tightened the whole way and still have a little slack. My idle screw is basically the whole way in and is barely idling. Idles alittle better with the choke on. Quote
brocky2727 Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 I also dropped my main jet to a 160 and it is better on the bottom and doesnt gurgle in the mid. Top end is still good. Hmmm where to go next? Quote
dirtbike killer Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 Like I said you cant have your idle screw turned all the way in. It has to be at lease one full turn out. You can band-ad it and you might get it to run better, but it wont be right. The idle screw has to be at lease one full turn out. If it wont idle fix it with your cable. Quote
