PADDLES HELP !!!! but you better be on it and dont let off. im not sure if on;y a foot of water is safe, you might hit the water and dive, then roll, have that buddy with a camera ready and let us know how it works out

I saw in a mag a few years ago where a guy moded a banshee to cross an inlet in a lake. He had it lowered, paddles, wide tires on the front and he even riged up a knee board up under the chasiss. I can't remeber how far the crossing was, but i was like holy shit. I remeber the article saying that he had to be doing 80. He made it though. :headbang:

Steve Abbott did it in 2 of the Huevos movies I believe. He had paddles and what looked like a kneeboard under the swingarm. He tried it several times in choppy water and didn't make it. In the other movie he made it every time, but the water was real smooth.

I've done it over a small pond, about 40-50 feet across. I barely made it in third, if the pond would have been any wider, I would have gotten really wet. Fourth gear was much better suited for it. You have to keep your weight back and commit, this isn't something that you can half-ass. I was using RAZR tires, not paddles, but I had trouble keeping straight. I don't know if paddles would have helped this or not. Just make sure that there is a smooth transition into and out of the water.

I haven't tried it on the shee, but I know it can be done. I've rolled it too :flush::cry: so be careful. I would think that full sand set up; paddles in back and buffs with ridges in front would help a lot.

First post all right. Ill get a pic of my bansh later.

I would make sure you would have some sort of an air box. A buddy at florence tried to hydroplane a little pond with those clamp ons. Water got sucked in and

WHAM!!! the front end came down so hard.

Its verry possible and very easy, I did it several times on my blaster and all I had was an LRD pipe and shots so it wasn't fast, I also did it when it was stock....

I have hydro planed several times recently on my YZ 85 and its verry easy, just hit it strait and don't try to turn or anything....

I will try to get some vids or sumthin but my digi cam is messed up and I don't have a digi camcorder....Maby my friend can borrow his moms..
