coopershee
Hey, I'm gettin some new Skat-trak paddles tomorrow 20x10x10, the 10 paddle. I was wondering if I should get the 8 paddle like I have now, but with the TALLER paddles, or go for the 10 paddle. Because I've been told that it puts a lot of stress on the motor with the 10 paddle. My mods are: Toomey T5's, port(its not a big port job, mild I think),K&N filter with pro-flow. BitchenBanshee
I wouldn't get the 20's, too damn small for deep sand. I was always draggin my chain in the sand. After about 8 different sizes of haulers I finally found the best for all around. 22x11x8 8 paddle on a 8x8 rim. They never cause the chain to hit the ground and they have a good round stance to them. Of course for straight drag racing the 20's were probably a little bit better. But how many of us just drag! Im out, gotta porn to watch
coopershee
Thanks guys, that really helped out my dilema...Hey Bitchenbanshee, I've got 10' douglas rims, and I only ride Glamis. My shee is not for sand draggin, I do it all, but I want some better traction. Did your chain really drag the ground or was it just low, cause I'm running the 8 paddle right now, and its low, but its not a problem in the sand, is the 10 paddle any different? BitchenBanshee
Its not the paddles that is the problem, Its the total diameter of the wheel. a 22" wheel is a lot taller than the 20" wheel. I try to stick with 8 paddle with the 22" because it allows for a bit more wheel spin, which helps when running 3rd gear up a steep hill.
