Finally Got My Pipes

i just got my fatties and they gave me 260 mains with the pipes themselves, but i got an alba jet kit with them wich came with 300's and of course needles and pilots. i put v-force reeds on it at the same time with a k&n but the 300 was too rich to run the airbox lid so i took it off and it was dead on(main jet anyway). so anyways, you have to take your carbs off and put those brass things (which are your main jets) in your carbs. i think there is a really good artical on jetting in the FAQ section on this site that probably tells you how to put them in, or you can take your wheeler to someone who has jetted 2 strokes before

You HAVE to rejet before you ride with new pipes. If not your motor will blow. What size jets did they give you? The number should be stamped on the top of them. What is your elevation and temp. there? Let us know and we'll givbe you a hand.

I'm with you ducman, this guy is going to need our help or we will get a hundred questions in the next few days from him. Lian, tell us exactly what has been done to your banshee, filter type, airbox mods, lid on or off of airbox, engine work if any, and what temps and elevation are normal for your area. If you can give us some info we can help you get that thing jetted so you can throw some dirt and not hurt it! We all have to start somewhere, no one was born knowing how to jet a engine!

LIAN, Rec'm you do yourself a really big favor and study the jetting FAQ info right here on HQ. Go to downloads, FAQ, and jetting. Then all the good info these guys are going to give you will be understandable. If not interested in learning about jetting then take it to the dealer.
