NE-Shee Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Just wondering on opinions on rear sand tires for banshee?? The Gecko's look like they would do good or haulers?? These will be use for allround fun in the sand??? :flame: :flame: Quote
mrmatt Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 The only good thing that I have heard about Gecko's is that they are cheap. So you should pass on those. For general sand riding, I suggest ITP Sand Stars. They hook up almost as good as a set of immitation haulers that I have, but they slide and turn more predictably. Quote
Oilsmoke Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 21X12X8 8 paddle hauler Slide good With a little blip on the gas and Hook up great in a straight Line. GIKO Only Look cool, other factor suck, Oh they do throw alot of sand in the Air but you can't roost your buddys in the back Muhehehehe. Quote

Ducman Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Sand Stars... I likem... I likem aaaalot. They did good on hill climbs, slides easy enough, good sidehill tracktion Sometimes when trying to roost the top of a dune face they would hook up a bit too good and pick the front end up. Price isn't too bad either. With ITP T-9s the sand stars were very noticably lighter than my stock rims with dirt tires. Quote
fartndust Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I know you'll hear the "I hear otherwise", but I run the Gekos on my Banshee and I love them. Had haulers for a year, they are great if all you want to do is drag race. Expensive doesn't mean better. My son runs sand stars on his and they are pretty damn nice also. Quote
