Front End Vibration

Recommended Posts

When I go to hit 6th gear on pavement, the front end starts goin all nuts and shakey. I took the freakin rims to my buddies shop and he balanced them, still no change. Anybody got any ideas? Even put new tires on it. Newer front end bearings. :shootself:

Mine used to get a bad shimmey in the front end when I put my fast trekers on it. The only thing I did was get a some mods done to the motor,it made it fast enough for go thru the shimmey just like car that has a shimmey at a certain mph. I have not found anything to make it go away except for the speed. If anybody finds something better let me know.

a friend of mine had that problem with a truck (12" of lift). He did something like a stabilizer on the front (the shocks on the tie rods). He said that reduced his problem.

Also I drag race a 98 z28 10.82 et. the tires make a real difference on my car. The stock tires had a tendency to follow the bumbs. When I went to skinny's the following went away but the vibration was killing me. I sold those to somebody and got another brand. The vibration was totally gone. That's at 124.23 mph
