chipdog
Whats the best way to take off when you race. ive heard a lot of rumors on how to take off some people take off in second with a three rev, some people say take off in first with a high rev then pop the clutch and then there are some people who just double pump the gas off of second. me personally i like to high rev off second wait till the rpm's are screaming then pop the clutch and let loose the fury. BansheeJerry
I am still trying to figure that one out myself. I am not a very good racer... When I take off in 2nd I always bog down and in first I either get to low on the powerband or I am looking at the sky. I dont do alot of drag racing though. Every machine is different and you have to get the feel for your machine and what works best for you I guess?.
MotulMonsta
I start on second, about 3/4 throttle till the flagger drops the one..Eye's on the gate link then full throttle feather the clutch and pull third before the turn. Hopefully everybody will be behind you. I usually have my weight up front out of the gate then I sit way back on the seat for traction. locogato11283
ok what you do is stand on the rear of the quad in prolly 2nd gear. rev it all the way up like until you think it sounds like its gonna blow up. then all at once drop the clutch all the way out. this is the best way to get the holeshot everytime. also practice makes perfect. jk lean forward if on pavement, lean back if in grass or dirt. use your best judgement. go out and practice, practice, practice.
