Aftmkt Stator Cover

I asked about trimming cover for ease of getting to countersprocket. In this thread.

yea lots of people do it, if you get a aftermarket one, some of them have three bolts you remove and poof easy access

I did the trimming and now I'm concerned with my 2 year olds shoelaces getting in there or my baggier pants catching, mainly my sons shoes and all. His legs and feet are really close and will only get worse as he gets a little older.

Who makes these covers with the removeable section and where can I find one? Doesn't need to be the shiniestt or fanciest, something anodized would be just fine.

Thanks :bolt:

scotts96fast is right, new one of those covers is goin to be pricey. Check on flea bay, or check with cotton eyed joe (Stan) here tell him to get going on making them. For what it's worth I got mine from TM Design works - yes the chaid slider place, they do billet stuff too. High quality, plain no grooves / designs etc...f9df6d7c.jpg

All of the aftermarket 3 piece billet stator covers are going to be over $250.00 Your cheapest option will be to go back to an unmod'd stock cover. Even the TM Designworks cover doesn't offer much protection as far as the front sprocket. It actually is a two piece cover instead of a 3 piece. Perhaps you'll get lucky and find a used one on ebay.

There were some on Ebay, but I've got to have this by Thursday.

I just ordered a Cascade flame 3 piece cover from Rocky Mountain for a cool $300 shipped to my door by Thursday.:cry::cry: I could have done so much with that money. That was a good down payment on some a arms or towards my 420 kit. Oh well, it's done now.

Thanks again.

"I have? When? I don't remember that?"

That is exactly what I said this morning when my wife opened up the bank statement this morning, it's up to date to the 10th.

I was like: :o:blink::wacko::shootself: and ran out the door.

I really need to start saving. I've also got a front set of Maxxis Front Pros on Red Labels coming tomorrow. I'm planning on a 420 kit this spring or summer, if I can stop long enough to start saving a little, just gonna wait until I need the new top end. Going to Vegas a week from Thursday  , and I know that'll hurt the ol' bank account.

From the little bit that I've heard, I think thats the direction I want to go, but I don't have enough info on them yet to do much planning, especially as far as which mfg? I'm not sure I know who all makes this kit. If you have any info, I'd love to know, maybe I'll start a new thread. I started a big bore sleeve thread and didn't really get any info. I'd like to put in the sleeve soon and then next year go to the +4 crank. Honestly, it has more than enough power right now, more than I really need.

Here's a few pics that I have. It's super clean at the moment, but don't have any new clean pics yet. These were taken Saturday. My stator cover and new wheels/tires will be here tomorrow or Thursday. I haven't really done that much to it, especially compared to some out there. Maybe one day...
