Choke Won't Stay

Since I've had my Shee the choke won't stay pulled. I can hold it out while I crank her up and rev it a few times with the choke pulled, then it seems to run fine. This isn't much of an inconvenience, I just want to know if this can cause any problems. Thanks!

on the carb with the choke. on the bottom of it is what you call a floater bowl. its just the bottom most part of the carberator. look on side facing the engine. there should be a brass little ball. just make sure its on that carb and not the other. though your engine probably wont start like this. but mine did when i bought it and the choke wouldnt stay out. just double check that. if not that id say make sure its not oily and make sure it doesnt smell like gas, if it does you might be leaking gas from there. if that the case you will need to replace the gasket on that choke peice. or it could just be the put side gaskett. its not really a big deal i ont think. as long as thers no gas leeking out. peace

I have the same problem. Have to hold it out. Luckily the shee isn't as hard to kick as my CR500R's were, so holding the choke while kicking it isn't hard... :)

Been told that replacing the plunger assembly remedies this problem. It runs like $30-40 apparently. Never gotten around to changing mine... for the 4 kicks and 10 seconds of holding it out, I can live with it for now :)
