Iv been checking out this forumn for a few month now,and seen as though iv just got my first Banshee i thought id see what you guys think to it as well saying hello!!

So to begin with 'Hy' to all fellow Banshee owners.

Ok im 25 and had more motocross, trial bikes and even trikes i care to remember.

Iv heard all about the power of these Banshees but didnt realise how fast they were.I think i finally got a bike thats too quick for me B)

Only took it out once, scared the hell out of me.But before i take her back out i gotta check out why the carbs sticking (i seen the faq)

Anyway i hope this post is in the right place,im going to post a link to the bike i bought and a picture if i can, what do you guys think?

nice lookin shee ya got there

Thanks, thats how it looked when i picked her up.Wasnt so clean the following day!!

There is one quick question i have at the moment,i had the throttle stick on me a few times, after id took it through water(as i say iv read the faq).Thing is most places im going to be ridin is wet most of the year(UK for you).

I get the impression its water/moisture entering where the cables enter the carb tops thats refered to as the 99% of the time problem.Any of you heard of 'PLASTI DIP',its a flexible rubber sealant, wouldnt that help it at all???

Apart from the sticky throttle issue im ver pleased. But im thinking of putting back in the stock reeds, filter, jets tuill i get used to it bit more!!(go on laugh, but i admit its too damn quick for me at minute).

Would a single carb kit help out with the 'sticky throttle' issue?

I know its down to water entering the carbs,as it only happens after entering water.Like i said its always wet where i go.Also seems the single carb kit would make the pwer more manageable??

Sorry for the simple questions but im new to these and i want to get it running how i want it before i start making her look better.

Thanks.

Welcome 01Banshee.UK, nice Banshee. Wish I could help with the water issue, unfortunately the solution still eludes us but it only seems to happen with stock carbs, so the only 100% solution I know of is going to aftermarket carbs or single carb.

BTW if it has an aftermarket air filter I'd keep it, the stocker is junk!!

Thanks for the warm welcome!!

Regaurding the Trinity single carb kit

http://www.trinityracing.com/products/yama...cvmanifold.html

All i know about the bike iv bought is what the dealer told me.Its got V Force reeds,a massive k & n filter, its been upjetted accordingly, and also race tuned(no idea what this consisted of?)As you can see its still got the stock pipes on.

Am i ok to order the Trinity kit and bolt it straight on.Will i need to swap anything else??

Seems the single carb kit is the route i need to take.Whoever mentioned it making the throttle lighter(obvious but didnt think of that myself)has swayed my mind more.

Is it easy to install the kit,i cant see it being to hard??

Thanks for all the input/advice!!

Appreciate it ;)
