banshee04le
ANY tire shop will do it for you for $5-10. It's not worth f'ing with. It can be done without a tire changing machine but it is a huge pain in the ass.
SICK BOY
If you can get your beads broke the rest is cake work.I change mine myself.
MotulMonsta
If it's a steel belted bead..your fucked..it will take you hours by hand. Set the tire on something that will allow the rim to pass through, then stomp on it...stomp the SHIT out of it.

frocashmoney24
yea its a bitch to pop those beads, take em to a shop that wont charge u out the ass like them!
wansomordis
Here's how I've always changed them.. I lay cardboard on the ground lay rim on it then use a bumper jack and put the bottom of the jack against the bead and start to jack the truck up.Always breaks the bead for me.. checkster
Option 1 I use a large bench wise. put the tire in the vise with the rim edges just barely touching the vise. Start closing vise, beads will pop. The rest is gravy. Option 2 Use a 2x6 board about 3 feet long. Lay tire on your driveway and place 2x6 on tire bead as close as you can to the rim without touching it(dont wanna crush the rim) drive up up the board with your pickup.....works for me in the field. check
Holyman
Option 1... pay the $20 and go riding Option 2... pay $70 and buy the right bead breaker {NOT the ones they sell on ebay that are red that don't work} change the tires and go riding. I tried all the methods above and wound up wit a bent rim and 2 wrecked tires. THEN I bought the right bead breaker. Shoud have thought it out better the first time
checkster
huh, never had a problem myself and ive changed everything from banshee tires to 40" swampers. just dont have room for a tire changer. If I had to buy a changer Id just pay 20 bucks for somebody else to do it and save the space in my garage. Seriously whats 20 bucks now a days.......hell, 4 beers at the titty bar cost that....LOL check
sredish
The thing is, it's not too hard to get the tires off and can be done rather quickly with a couple flatbars. I don't like to do them because I end up scratching rims. Now that I run some Black Labels, I'd rather have a shop do it and keep from scuffing my rims. Also, my good bud works at the dealer, so I do it myself down there, just walk in, use the machine and I'm gone, no questions asked. It always helps to have a friend at the dealers shop. SICK BOY
I agree that $20.00 isn't much any more, but if you change a lot of tires then the tire machine pays for it's self in no time.
