01 Blue Screaming Banshee
I have a stock 01 banshee. I am thinking of getting Toomey T-5's or T-6's. My problem is people bitch at me every time I ride due to the noise of My STOCK BANSHEE. I want more power but I do alot of trail riding. I do keep getting beaten by a yz125, and moded cr 125, and cr 250, as well as a piped fmf banshee. Will these pipes give me the power needed to beat those bikes, and still have manageable power on trails? Does anybody have audio of the pipe sounds? I heard toomey was the best. Will pipes make my banshee suck more gas? I am also consdiering boysen reads. My buddy put trinity pipes on his banshee and he lost his low end. How much will it cost to get these installed and re jetted? Thanks
MotulMonsta
If you look at the dyno charts on toomey's web page you see that at lower rpms, they dip below the stock pipe curve, but quickly out pull from 5 grand on. If your bike is stock, Toomey has the T-6 pipes that outperform the T-5 by 5 h.p. on top and through the middle..The kit is a COMPLETE kit with new jets and needles..they call it the perfect jet kit. It works. When I was running stock carbs and I bought the T-5 like 4 years ago, that jet kit was damn near perfect. Toomey wants 649 for the complete kit W/ cromed pipes..not a bad deal..EVERYTHING you need to make them work.
ranshee
I think my T-6s are some of the best sounding pipes out there. As far as beating your friends on two wheelers, thats highly unlikley on a somewhat stock bike, unless they just plain suck at riding. DBLtapS
I just put T-6's on my stock 04 banshee. They are bad ass. I am having some issues with the jetting or so I thought. Shee bogs on the low end but comes to life about 4k rpm. They are hands down the best pipes if you ask me. I have a video of the pipes in action but the clip is 15 meg. Tell me where to upload it and then you can see.

nater006
Toomeys aren't going to be your best bet for low end either, BTW. They're great if you want to scream by 'em and want a terrific top end on your shee but they aren't a very good low pipe. Love my T5s but they are not very good for woods. Pretty loud too.. 01 Blue Screaming Banshee
I was quoted 250 for install and rejet plus the pipe kit cost. Do I have to full with jetting if I get these pipes? I cant even change a tire so im not very macanical. When the dealer jets it will it be ok, or does it need to be adjusted often? I think I will go with the chrome T-5 kit instead of the Y-6. I like the T5 sounds but have not heard the t-6 so thats why I will get the T5. How do you keep the chrome shinny and new looking? Thanks
01 Blue Screaming Banshee
T5 Banshee Pro Rider Race Kit Qty: Price: $699.99 Select Outerwear Color: YellowBlueBlackOrangePurpleRed T5 Pipe Bodies and Stingers, in polished chrome. Silencers, 2:1 Filter Assy., Outerwear, Jet Kit, Polished Aluminum Pipe Seals, Boyesen Reeds. ------------------------------- The boysen reads are the most reliable? Will this keep my stock low end power or possibly increase my bottom end? I know the t5 is a top end pipe but I want low end as well or at least dont want to lose any stock bottom end... So I should get the kit with the boysen reeds right away? http://www.toomey.com/html/pipe_systems.htm
