monty9
ok at idle my lights wont work but when you rev it they come on bright then go off, it all started the other day when i was riding during the day and i went to put them on when istarted to get dark, i was on a trail in the wodds and they didnt work. then i hoped on the road and got full throttle in 6 gear and they started the work but keep coming and going, then when i go to where i was going the worked fine for about a half hour then the work only when i reved the motor. so now they only work when i rev the motor, any help willl be such a help. thanks monty
sredish
maybe a loose connection. I'd check the wires from the headlights all the way through to the voltage regulator. If that's not it, check the voltage on the headlight side of the regulator with the rpms up. Also could be something going on with the lighting coil. MotulMonsta
Yeah I agree eather a loose connection, or a bad regulator..or your stator's on the way out.

sredish
i know this is going to sound bad, but where is the regulator at on the quad Well well well. It's very obvious to us now that you do not have a banshee service manual. I feel like not even anwering this question just because you don't have one. I'll tell you but only if you swear to get one first thing Monday.
sandman121383
monty it should be at the back by ur CDI box. i'd agree with some other comments on the lighting side of ur coil. definately run over your connections to see if any are loose. if u have a clymer look up the specs for ohm levels on ur stator and disconnect it and test it. im pretty sure there's specifications. if nobody posts em maybe i can dig my clymer out and check the specs for u

Nighty
i switched my toomeys once for the stock pipes. Had some help from a few friends so we switched the pipes in like 20 minutes. . i was stupid enough to NOT check the wiring and had the exact same problem you are describing now. my whole (dont know the english word for this:) "cable tree" was molten to my stinger... not good after restoring all the wires and connections it was fine again.
