DBLtapS
I just installed Toomey t-6's on my stock '04 banshee. I followed the directions to a T. I installed the 280 main jet. I ride in Michigan and its about 45 degrees. I replaced the stock needle with the one from Toomey and put the e-clip on the 4 groove from the top. I also adjusted my air screw to 1.5 turns out. Everything I listed above is in the directions to the pipe. I thought It was kinda sluggish in the lower end until I rode a friends shee with a FMF fatty. Now I know it is sluggish. His is allot snappier. He has FMF fatty's, 280 main jet, stock needle, and he cant remember what size but he did change his pilot jet. Mine was allot more sluggish on the bottom end. But, when I hit the midrange and top it it screams! I checked the plugs and they were a little black but i could see more brown than black. Sound like its running a lil rich? I called Toomey and their tech support told me to put in a 290 main just because it was so cold here. 40 degrees cold? Maybe in Cali but here its great riding. Anyone out there have a simular setup? Or know how I should set this thing up for the weather now. Maybe give me a break down of how to adjust it for now and how to in the summer. I also put on the 2:1 high flow air kit. Stock air box gone, Uni-two stage with outerwares. Thanks
Schizo
I would say that you need to go atleast 1 size bigger on the pilot but 30's prolly be even better. Try putting the needle clip up to the third notch and that should help the mid range, im sure toomey will tell you to you to jet it a bit rich just to cover their ass so you cant tell them that their jetting blew up your bike. As far as the main jet, 280's dont sound none to rich to me. Get the main dialed in first then work on the midrange.

Schizo
stock pilots are 25, 1 size bigger is 27.5 then
dirtbike killer
Do just have pipes, or do you have a k&n also, what do you have besides the toomey kit?
DBLtapS
I put on the Performance kit #3 from Toomey. Pipes, silencers, and high flow air kit with no air box.
dirtbike killer
With no air box I would try 320 mains and a 30 pilot. When I had the t6's and just an k&n filler, air box with no lid thats what I ran. It did 52 on the dyno and it ran great! Your bike and conditions might be different, but this will get you close. Just play with it and check your plugs.
DBLtapS
I was running too much oil 24:1. Changed to 32:1 2R. Runs like a rape ape now :flame:
spoin39
If you are running 280's with no airbox, you better order some new pistons because you will need them SOON! You need to be at least 320's with no airbox, and 300 with airbox and no lid. Check your plugs, they are probably white as snow.
ranshee
Or just run a little bit longer till she blows, then youl now your lean! joke. Up them mains.
RZ383
I agree with spoin39. When I used to have T-5's on my stock motor with no lid and a drilled air box I was running 330's.

I think your climate has a little to do with the why your jetting is lower...
