chipdog
how do i know if my gas is bad. I had 32:1 mix with 91 octane in the gas tank for about a month being that i was working on it. didnt bother to drain it because i thought it woud still be good but when i went riding it sounded like i was farting under water when i pushed the throttle in all the way. could it be that the jets are clogged. someone let me know what i \need to do. evil
only a month ? your gas should be good still, id clean out the carbs and see if that fixes it first. also what jets are you running ?
Brian G
If you even think your gas is bad. then just replace it!!!

sredish
If you even think your gas is bad. then just replace it!!! I agree with all the above statements. Fastest way to rule out the gas is to drain it, very easy to do, and replace it with new gas. You might have to clean the carbs out. It is possible to get semi-bad gas from a store, and then let it sit for a month and it really goes sour.
pimp559
Take a lil swig and if it tastes like Desani it has water in it.
MotulMonsta
I usualy won't run gas that's been sitting for a week. Fresh gas is the best gas. Did you stir up the gas before you ride? Shake it up a bit? Oil will seperate from the gas, plus if there is water it will settle to the bottom. So you will have a nice layer of water, then oil with gas sitting on top. you need to shake it up, mix it good. You can drain some gas into a clear glass bottle, let it sit for a half hour and look to see if there is water or other contaminents in it. Water will pool at the bottom in little droplets, the more the water, the bigger the droplets.
