Building A Go-kart

Recommended Posts

:o Interesting. I've pondered that before myself...using shee a-arms & shocks up front, and attaching the frame of the banshee with motor & rear swingarm right behind the go-kart's seat. Would take some fabbing & with a shee motor you'd have to figure out where you wanted to mount the radiator. Would be cool, if ya go through with it keep us posted. ;)

The radiator is right behind the seat. I am using the cbr engine because they seem to be more available than most street bike engines, puts out like 85 ponies stock, and no need to deal with 2-stroke expansion chambers. I want a lot of hp without modding the engine.

i would put radiator up front with a gril on it. that way you got a decent amount of water flowin threw it to keep it cool. and theres no compromise on he air hitting it. and that would alow you to run it as a 2 seater. which is the way i would go. i am really thinking about doing a project like this. i have a suzuki aircooled 4 cyl 750. it runs it just needs a new home. i think this will be the way i go when it comes to putting the motor some where.
