BigSteele
Hey guys this is my first post here and I have a two part question.. 1. I have heard that the value of the Banshee has gone down with the intro of the new 450's. Whats your thoughts on the value of a 2000 Banshee on its original cylinders, has nerfs, and sticker kit. Other than that its completely stock (Just what i want). IS this bike worth $3300? Oh i forgot the bike has new pipes on it too by fmf 2. I will buy this bike to ride the trails, possible to make this a decent trail bike on the cheap with like a tooth change or what not. I do not want to make any other real mod to the engine if i can help it. How much real maintence is required for a banshee other than oil changes etc. Some people think im nuts saying that the carbs always get out of whack and wont start and ill be tuning this thing all the time taking it into the shop etc. Help me
sredish
I don't think that's too bad of a deal. Some will say that you should be able to find one cheaper, but for a 2000 in good condition, I'd probably pay 3,000 for it. Read the "What kind of Maintenance / Up Keep Is Done" thread for some info on that.
locogato11283
i dont think thats too good of a deal right now. ive seen 2002 banshees all stock going for 3800. i think id wait it out and try and find something a little newer. if you are in a big hurry id try to get that price down a little bit. maybe theyll work with you. MILO
big steele, if you buy the shee, and it doesn't already have air box mods, that's one thing i would still upgrade. you'll notice a huge difference if you replace the pos stock filter and open up the box some to let those pipes "breathe". pro design makes an excellent air filter/adaptor kit.
