Soon To Be Owner First Mods Should Be?

Recommended Posts

what modifications should follow the ones mentioned?

skip the boost bottle and put that 24 bucks twards a stroker, you said money wasnt an issue, dump a couple grand into the motor and another 3 grand into shocks and chassis and you have a bike that goes fast and you'll be able to hang on to it......

Yea but when i continue modding my shee i will have to change the jets more often and i don't want to be ordering them everytime i put something else on. Also what reeds do u recommend?

DOn't worry about jetting. Buy yourself an assortment of 280-380 mains. Cost ya $40. At the most..... Forget the boost bottle. Get the manual. Decide on some pipes. Mod the airbox, and keep reading the posts here. You will figure it out...

Thanks for all your help guys. Its really given me a heads up on what to expect and what i want out of the shee. One more question tho...i'm going to be going back and forth between tennesee and miami, florida so what cc domes do you suggest i go with? I know someone answered if i ride between seal level and a 1000ft go with 19 to 20 cc domes but i think that up in greeneville tennessee the elevation is much higher than that also keep in mind i live on top of a hill and i will ride alot on my parents property so the elevation is even greater?

I think you need to think about this a little more. ANd if you are riding at 1000' or below, I would not get anything less than a 21cc dome unless you want to touch on race fuel. If you go with a 20cc dome, most likely at sea level or really anything below 1,000' you run the risk of detonation and pinging if you don't run race fuel. By race fuel, I mean a higher octane fuel. Get some pipes, some jets, and go from there. Be sure to pick up your manual as well.
