sredish Posted March 9, 2004 Report Share Posted March 9, 2004 I am a longtime Maxima chain wax fan. I like that stuff a lot, it dries to a nice dry plastic-like coating. I have just bought my first Honda Pro chain lube and have not used it yet. But I have heard such rave reviews, I feel stupid not to at least try it once. locogato11283 Posted March 9, 2004 Report Share Posted March 9, 2004 i seriously use wd40 or any other kind of lubricant. think itll hurt my chain? ive been using that stuff for as long as i remember and have had no problems. i ride in the mud and nasty shit all the time so surely its gettin some abuse. Sand likes to grind chains and can do it in a hurry.Especially with some help from lubricants.If I know I'm heading to the sand pit I wont lube or goop it at all. Dean Sundahl used it for years racing and winning the Baja 500/1000, and if it is good enough for his race quad, then it will work fine for us duners. I have used it for many years with good results.
