brimstone92
is blue loctite strong enough for all parts inside the motor? are ther any that need the regular temp red stuff?
boonman
Red loctite and aluminum do NOT mix. if you use Red, you can almost bet on the threads in the aluminum being torn out if you ever need to remove them. Go blue..... But I don't quite know what you are trying to loctite in there????
svtkid78
yeah i agree with boonman what are you planning on using the loctite on inside your engine????
erbilabuc
I would just use some hi-temp gasket maker. Nuts and bolts back off because of vibration. I have found through working on airplanes for the past decade that nothing beats rtv type sealants at vibration reduction. I use it on air fittings, nuts, bolts. Hell anything with threads
SICK BOY
I used red loctite on the alum. tranny trap door of a motorcycle once.I had to retap the holes when I had it apart a year later.I'd go blue.
