brimstone92 Posted March 8, 2004 Report Share Posted March 8, 2004 what should i clean th stator with? a little alchahol and a soft brush? its got crud on it from moisture build up (frezzing and thawing in the unheated garage) is there any good or recommended way to lightly clean it? SICK BOY Posted March 8, 2004 Report Share Posted March 8, 2004 After you get it clean,put a coat of liquid electrical tape on it (not on the pick up's).This will protect it,cover any bare spot's,and make the next cleaning easier.Fro is right,electric motor cleaner in a spray can works great. Personally I think the best stuff to use is CRC lectra clean which can be found at most hardware stores (like HomeDepot in the electrical Dept).
