HellOnWheels860304
I have a 2003 banshee and I see alot of them with the front fenders shaved or cut off completly. Does this help with performance or is it just for looks?

ranshee
You should cut them. I heard you will gain at least 8 horses or so. And also when you jump it will keep you from doin that pesky back flip thing

banshee tuner
Cut them wind grabbing elephant ears off. I debated on doing it myself but have no regrets.
MotulMonsta
WAIT!! It depends on where you ride. With my cut front fenders, I won't ride when it's muddy and wet. Because all that shit on the ground WILL end up all over you. It will get all up under your helmet, in your teeth, up your nose..your goggles will be mudded out in under 5 min. If you run tear off..you'll burn alot. You won't stay dry..your gear will go to crap fast from all the excess washing to keep it clean. I'm thinking of getting a second fron fender assy w/ the fenders still on just for rainy days.

checkster
I love how cut fender look, but have not cut mine cause half the time where I ride is muddy. check
HellOnWheels860304
I dont like to ride in the mud or rain, so Ill prolly cut , but my next question is where? I was thinking on cutting then right next the part of the plastic that has the screw this way I still could have support. Is this a good idea? and what should I use to cut them with. Hack saw, dremel, what makes a clean cut so theres less sanding and painting?
ledofthezep
I just taped off a pattern with some electrical tape & followed it with a fine blade on a jigsaw. Just go slow & take your time. Worked like a champ. Some use razor blades, some use hacksaw blades, plastic cutters, whatever you prefer...the jigsaw gig worked out the best for me. McSkinner
Check under the fenders after your next ride. If you see they're really caked with mud, then they're working. I found that my fenders didn't really catch much mud anyway, but I knew once I cut them they'd be gone forever. So, I just cut them down a little at a time right now they're the same shape as the stock ones, but they're about half the size. I think it looks damn good, and it doesn't look like every body else on the block. If I decide I want them gone later, I can chop em, but, once they're gone, they're gone. sorry for the long read.
