What will happen is the lead will help lube your crank and pistons the downside is all the tree-huggers will hate you for making the hole in the ozone a little bit bigger. Quote
lincster Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 Won't hurt anything. I run 110 octane low lead for the past 3 years in my bike. No problems. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 Your bike will run better on lead. When I was in italy they sold high octane gas with lead in it. Man my shee ran great over there...Motor lasted for 3 years running lead. Quote
ranshee Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 Wont hurt your bike man, its not fuel injected Quote
Ducman Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 Leaded gas is a slight bit harder on sparkplugs in a 4 stroke but in a 2 stroke I dont think it makes much difference. Just don't put it in your car that has a catyletic converter and everything will be fine. Quote
GEEZR Posted March 8, 2004 Author Report Posted March 8, 2004 Thanks a bunch folks for the info. I'm goin for a spin this coming weekend, I'll let ya know how it turns out. Quote
SICK BOY Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 I ran some leaded race gas last year with no problems. Quote
lincster Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 I also run leaded premix in my lawnmower. Nice blue smoke and smells like I am at the dunes. Quote
rock Posted March 13, 2004 Report Posted March 13, 2004 be careful because if it is an oxygenated fuel it will lean it out Quote
sweetshee4312 Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 110 low lead isnt that airplane gas Quote
lincster Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 110 low lead isnt that airplane gas Nope, Av Gas is around 102-104 octane. 110 low lead is considered race gas. The oxygenated fuel is a good point, that is what is in the pumps here in the Valley. Another reason I run race gas. :flame: Quote
