cb67rs1 Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 if your pilots are clogged its pretty easy to tell, itwill barley idle then when you give it gas it will die, if you choke it and it runs better then your pilots are more than likely stopped up. and if your tores is bad thats easy to fix, find the wires going to the carbs , disconnect them, then find the wires going to the throttle on the handle bars and disconnect that, then find the wire for the emergency brake(on the clutch lever) and disconnect it, then find the little black box under the gas tank on the left side and disconnect ALL wires going to it. that will eliminate all the TORS. try those 2 and if you still dont have it running you got other probems Quote
"thenewguy" Posted March 8, 2004 Author Report Posted March 8, 2004 so where is that pilot jet located? do i have to take the carbs off to clean them out? im sure some one must know this question? Quote
Nighty Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 the pilot jet is located next to the MAIN jet. you cant see it that goed since its in a tube. i think the jetting faq has a picture of the whole carb setup. Quote
svtkid78 Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 When you clean out your jets use the litttle wire insinde of a bread twist tie or any twist tie. you can use all the carb cleaner you want if there is something really small it wont get it. jets are made to be a certain circumfrence if it is obstructed at all that may be your prob. it seems as if you may need some other help with this instead of doing it alone Quote
