ledofthezep
Sounds like you're on the right track....I'd now look into suspension upgrades, you may have to get your rear shock at least re-valved to compensate for the extra travel. It will be ok for now,...but if you do much other than drag you're likely to blow it pretty quick.
MotulMonsta
Yep..you need to get the shock revalved and stiffer springs(It's a MUST). If you don't you overheat the shock and cause it to either seize up and bend the shaft or blow out on you. Works make a good shock for only 600 bones. It will last you a long time even under heavy abuse. The fronts are a diffrent story.
brugal
Sounds real good to me.All you need now is a Stroker crank.
SDD
Demon after I put a +2 on my Banshee I rode it for one weekend in the dunes. After that weekend I knew I had to revalve and respring. Once I had that done it made a world of difference. When adding the longer swingarm on a shock that was already soft just made things way worse. I wanted to buy a swingarm slightly longer but still short enough for big jumps and I settled for the one I got.

locogato11283
dont spend 600 on a new rear shock. you can get the elka revalve kit for like 350. its all new revalving, spring and whatever else it needs to make it up to elka specs. i hear its well worth the money. even my local aftermarket shop recommended it over buying a brand new one. i would try going that route. just call elka, im sure they can give you some info. MotulMonsta
Elka kit for a stock rear shock? It won't be half as good as a full aftermarket unit.
