99screaminshee Posted March 4, 2004 Report Share Posted March 4, 2004 i just got my rear cliper back from the shop yesterday it nned a hole tapped out in it and new pads i put in on and i got fluid in it but i cant get a real good bite it wont lock the rear tires up in wet grass it slows ya down after a while if ya pump em up also how does the rear rotor go is it supposed to be shaped like a plate which way should in cuvre into the swingarm or out to the wheel it was off when i got the bike any help is appriciated thanx Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DUNEDEMON Posted March 4, 2004 Report Share Posted March 4, 2004 If there's no fluid comming out how do you know ther is no air in the line? If the line was disconnected from the caliper, air has beed introduced to the system, they need to be bled. The mity vac connects to the caliper bleed screw, pump the handle, this produces a vaccum and draws brake fluid out of the resivoir, do this until there is no more air in the line and you're done.
