Practice, practice, practice. You can try to put it in the lower tooth and bend up a little.

bpreuss
i have the same problem, just heat it up and put a kink in the shifter towards the back at like a 45 degree angle, then let it cool and move up like 2 inches heat it up and bend it back down, it should be nice and level and perfect height. locogato11283
all you need is an acetylene torch. just be sure when you do this you put something behind the shifter so you dont melt anything. ive realized that not all bikes are the same. my brothers old banshee was ok if you moved it up a notch, while mine went way too far. dont ask me why this is but thats how it was. if you arent experienced with a torch or dont have one, just find someone that does. bpreuss
i would take it off, put it in a vise and then have one person hold a peice of round iron where you want it to bend and hit it with a hammer, get it glowing red first tho so it dont break
MotulMonsta
Send the pro pegs back..they are GARBAGE...the aluminum pegs wear out WAY too fast. I wouldn't bend the shift lever yet as you only started wearing boots...take some time and try to work with what you got. Boots need time to break in. Plus you need to get used to the boots and the wider propeg grip size.
