Cant Shift With Boots On

i have ac pro pegs with heel guards.i just started wearing boots.i moved the shifter around.if i go 1 tooth up on the shifter its just a little too high and if i go down its to low.what do i do?

Practice, practice, practice. ;)

 

You can try to put it in the lower tooth and bend up a little.

all you need is an acetylene torch. just be sure when you do this you put something behind the shifter so you dont melt anything. ive realized that not all bikes are the same. my brothers old banshee was ok if you moved it up a notch, while mine went way too far. dont ask me why this is but thats how it was. if you arent experienced with a torch or dont have one, just find someone that does.

Send the pro pegs back..they are GARBAGE...the aluminum pegs wear out WAY too fast. I wouldn't bend the shift lever yet as you only started wearing boots...take some time and try to work with what you got. Boots need time to break in. Plus you need to get used to the boots and the wider propeg grip size.
